The exhibition remembers the work of Friedrich Weinwurm (1885 – 1942), the most significant representative of architectural avantgarde in Slovakia.
Through the documentation of both realised and unrealised architectural works, it will bring us closer to the architect's idea of “respectable architectural art for the period.” Presented works will explain the concept of socially engaged architecture. It will show the work of architectural studio in the first half of the twentieth century, the structure of orders, procedures, image practices. The exhibition contemporarises the period idea of architecture of New Objectivity.
