SNG

We are opening the SNG to people fleeing the war in Ukraine

At SNG, we are looking for different ways to help people fleeing the war in Ukraine by visiting our gallery, taking part in creative activities or community building. If you know Ukrainians who would find this information useful, we would be happy for you to share them.

· Admission to the SNG in Bratislava is still free for everyone; people from Ukraine can also visit our outposts for free - Schaubmar's Mill in Pezinok, Zvolen Castle, Mansion of Strážky and the Ľudovít Fulla Gallery in Ružomberok.

· For those who want to actively spend time in the gallery, we have equipped our exhibition 7x7 Seven Liberal Thoughts on the Arts with various art supplies. So those who feel like it can interpret exhibited works by their own drawing. Activities are available not only for Ukrainians but also for other domestic and foreign visitors.

· The Kornel and Naďa Földvári Library on the 1st floor is also open to everyone. It is a space for relaxation; it has a selection of more than 11,000 books, free WiFi connection and facilities to charge your laptop or cell phone.

· At the ticket office of Esterházy Palace and in the Ex Libris bookstore, a map with tips on cultural institutions, leisure activities within SNG's reach and essential information in Ukrainian is available free of charge.

· Thanks to the cooperation with the Artforum, the Ex Libris bookstore at SNG is one place that offers free books for Ukrainian children imported from Ukrainian publishers. Ex Libris also provides discounts on their books to Ukrainian citizens.

· The Schaubmar's Mill in Pezinok regularly hosts Saturday cooking of traditional borscht, intended not only for the Ukrainian community. We created the event in cooperation with the city of Pezinok to offer a  sense of mutual closeness, exchange advice and experience. You can find more information about dates on Schaubmar's Mill social network profiles.

· We strongly perceive the need to integrate refugees from Ukraine into society in terms of accommodation, employment and education, but also in terms of their social life.

· Therefore, we plan to regularly open SNG premises in Bratislava to create a "meeting point" for Ukrainian families and locals who are helping them. We want to offer them a space for their creative outlet, to discover art, share experiences and make new contacts. We will publish more information on our social network profiles soon.

· At this place, they will be able to realize creatively, meet art, share their experiences and make new contacts. We will publish more information on our social networks soon.

· Students of the Lviv National Academy of Arts, accepted by the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (AFAD), will have the opportunity to complete an internship at the Department of Pedagogy at the SNG. They will enable us to prepare educational programs for Ukrainian school groups and children who have already shown interest.
