Presented art work from the collections of the Slovak National Gallery at this exhibition pays homage to the Nestor of the Slovak Naive Art for his post mortal jubilee.

Naive artist Július Považan (1926 Žiar nad Hronom - 2011 Krupina) began painting in the city of Šahy as twenty-seven-years old doctor. Later he continued painting in Banská Štiavnica and from 1977 until his death in Krupina. Považan is one of the foremost Naive artists not only within Slovak but also within the European context.
